…and was looking forward to this particular Powwow sponsored by University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV).

UNLV has hosted the Southern Band of Utes from Southern Utah for the last several years…

I recently attended the Las Vegas Snow Mountain Paiute Powwow, a very large, popular and well attended powwow, which was held in October of last year…

…and located only twenty miles North of Las Vegas right off the I-95…

…as well as going to the Paiute/Shoshone Pahrump Social Intertribal Powwow in November located 60 miles West of Las Vegas…

The Powwow is a wonderful way to experience the variety of Native American cultures that abound just a few miles away…
